The GE Monogram Brand – One of GE's Hottest Brands
For decades General Electric has been known for making all sorts of appliances for the home. The GE Monogram brand has become one of the top brands that the company has for sale. All sorts of different products are made under the Monogram brand, including dishwashers, refrigerators and wine chillers. In fact, this brand is continuing to grow today.
These GE products were first introduced about twenty years ago. This was to be used as a high level companion to the middle class appliances that General Electric has been known for over the years. However, what makes these appliances different from the standard GE products is that of the modernized look of these appliances. These features of the modernized look include the stainless steel build, computerized controls and in some cases door alarms. The high level of technology and luxury has made this brand stand out from other products that GE sells.
One of the most notable parts of this brand is that the products sold here are not as easily available at stores as those of other types of GE products. High end customer design stores will have these products for sale, and independent kitchen design stores will have these. In other words, don't count on stores like the Home Depot or Sears to have these appliances for sale.
Also, even though the GE Monogram brand is as luxurious as it is the prices for the products here are especially high. For instance, a lower end stove from the Monogram brand will be about five thousand dollars in value. Also, a complete kitchen makeover through the Monogram brand will cost about fifty thousand dollars on average. This is because of the desire from GE to help to keep the brand's integrity as an especially high one.
There is one especially notable place to go to in order to see these appliances. This is the General Electric Monogram online showroom, which is located at ge.com. However, these appliances are not available for sale on the site, but the physical showroom in Louisville is one of the top places to see. This showroom is so large that people who visit will generally have to stay at the 21c Museum Hotel in the middle of their stay in this Kentucky city.
These GE products are continuing to sell well. About $100 million was spent on this brand in 2007, and this is fifty percent higher than what was spent in 2005. Also, sales in 2006 were the highest ever for the brand.
The GE Monogram brand is one of the top brands to check out in the world of appliances. There are all sorts of different appliances for sale in this brand, and these can be easily customized. However, it can be tough to find these products because of the high end level of these products. Regardless, they are indeed some great appliances to see for one's needs in the home.
